And with the folded back of the second row, the volume of the compartment increases to 1520 liters.

Technically, the Sportsvan is an almost exact replica of the seventh generation Golf hatchback. In any case, it is built on the same modular MQB platform, with the only exception that the engineers of the German company selected suspension settings with an eye to possible higher loads. This platform has a progressive design with the possibility of building cars, both with front-wheel drive and with all-wheel drive transmission, as well as the extensive use of aluminum for the production of chassis elements and body panels.

The design of the Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan clearly shows that the model belongs to the Golf family, but at the same time the new model has become more mature and perfect than its predecessor. The front part of the novelty received a shorter hood, which smoothly flows into the front roof pillars, strict headlights with LED running lights, a narrow slit in the false radiator grille and a wide bumper with an open air inlet that intersects almost the entire lower part. The stylish rib cuts across the entire Golf Sportsvan's hull from the front wheel arches to the stern at the level of the door handles, and the wide doors are capped with large window openings. This image is completed by small but quite functional details: stylish side mirrors with integrated turn signals, triangular windows in front of the front doors and a small spoiler above the tailgate at the rear.

From zero to hundred it accelerates in 8.8 s (regardless of the type of gearbox) and develops a maximum speed of 212 km / h.

As on other Golfs, the design of the Sportsvan rear suspension depends on the recoil: versions with engine up to 110 hp inclusive laid a twisted beam, and more powerful - multi-link.
