Peugeot 3008 was presented to buyers of the European market at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009. Russian brand fans got acquainted with the model at the Moscow Motor Show in 2010. The Peugeot 3008 is a compact and roomy member of the crossover family. Peugeot marketers call the 3008th a mixture of hatchback, SUV and compact van.

In September 2013, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot introduced motorists to the updated version of the 3008 compact van. As a result of the restyling, the model gained a more solid appearance, but from the point of view of technical equipment, it almost did not change. The updated compact van is also built on the PF2 platform, like its predecessor, although the French concern PSA is now systematically replacing this platform with the new EMP 2. The next generation Peugeot 3008 will probably be built on the basis of the new platform.

The result of the design changes was that the exterior not only acquired modern features, but became more stylish and sophisticated.
If we talk about the size of the car, then there has been no change. As in the previous version, the updated Peugeot 3008 has 4365 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2613 mm. The width of the machine is 1837 mm, and its height is 1639 mm. The gauge of the front and rear wheel pairs is 1533 mm and 1526 mm. Taking into account the options of equipment and markets, the height of the ground clearance varies from 150 to 180 mm.
Inside the Peugeot 3008 has changed not as much as the outside. At the presentation of the car, its representatives tried to pay special attention to the increased quality of the used finishing materials, as well as to improve the ergonomics of the driver's seat. The front panel received a slightly modified design. At this change the interior ends. As before, in the luggage compartment of the car fits 432 liters of cargo, collecting the second row of seats, this figure is easy to increase. The increase in the power line of the Peugeot 3008 after the update is not provided. In the role of the base unit still serves petrol 4-cylinder 1.6-liter engine, developing 120 horsepower, available at 6000 rpm. Its maximum torque is 160 Newton meters at 4,250 rpm. This unit is completed only with a manual 5-speed gearbox. This tandem allows the car to accelerate to 100 km / h in 11.8 seconds. Another petrol engine, also 1.6-liter, already produces 150 hp. at 6000 rpm Peak torque is reached at 1400 rpm, resting on the mark of 240 N * m. Acceleration from zero to the first "hundred" in 8.9 seconds in the version with a 6-speed manual transmission and in 9.5 seconds in the version in the 6-band automatic transmission. In the first case, the fuel consumption is 7.1 liters per 100 kilometers, and in the second, a little more - 7.7 liters.
Also on the Russian market, Peugeot 3008 is offered to customers with a diesel engine, also 1.6-liter, with a 112 horsepower engine, which is achieved at 3,600 rpm. Peak torque here falls to 270 Newton meters at 1750 rpm. There is no alternative to transmissions in the case of a diesel engine. The engine is aggregated exclusively 6-speed automatic transmission. Of the entire line, this motor is the slowest - the first “hundred” with him the car dials in 12.6 seconds. However, the "sluggishness" of this engine is compensated by a very modest fuel consumption - only about 4.5 liters in the combined cycle per 100 kilometers. Note that the more powerful 163-strong diesel and the hybrid version of the Peugeot 3008 are still unavailable in the Russian market.
