Responsible for creating the interior was designer Bob Luyks. While working on the Intrigue, he was guided by the principle of making the elements of the salon "soft on the outside and felt." The interior has similarities with Cutless, but it is made with greater solidity. The car offers an impressive stock of legroom for rear passengers and overhead.

Intrigue differed high-quality assembly. An example of this is the suspension, developed in accordance with European standards.

The line of power units consisted of two V-engines: a volume of 3.8 liters. and a power of 197 hp (maximum speed of more than 200 km / h) and a volume of 3.5 liters. with a modified intake system and a modified exhaust system with a capacity of 218 hp (maximum speed of more than 220 km / h). The engines were paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission Hydra Matic.

The dynamics and stability of the car on the road provides, in addition to engines and transmissions, an electronic system for traction control. Sports behavior on the road is guaranteed by a tuned suspension (with anti-roll bars in the front and rear), as well as a “sharp” steering system that clearly responds to the driver’s movements. Intrigue was offered in two versions: basic and GL. The list of standard equipment includes power steering that changes the intensity of its work depending on speed, anti-lock braking system, stereo, leather upholstery and six-beam 16-inch alloy wheels with Goodyear Eagle LS tires. The standard safety system includes two air bags, child safety belts, tire adhesion control and daytime lights. The Oldsmobile Intrigue was launched in Fairfax, Kansas. In 2003, the car was discontinued.
