Kia clarus
Kia Clarus debuted in 1996 and became one of the most successful Kia projects in the 90s. The car was designed in close cooperation with the Mazda, so technically it is very similar to the Mazda 626.
In Korea, Clarus is known as Credos.
Kia Clarus is a luxury car that combines modern style, European-class handling, a powerful engine, a smooth, quiet ride and a spacious comfortable lounge.
The body with smooth contours, without a single acute angle, looks attractive and distinctive. Clarus has a good corrosion resistance. The quality of the paintwork is at a fairly high level.

There are two transmissions to choose from: a manual 5-speed with a locking system or an automatic 4-speed with electronic control.
Suspension moderately comfortable, moreover, quite hardy.
Basic equipment includes power steering, immobilizer, air conditioning and ventilation system with microfilter, driver airbag, front electric windows and central locking with remote control and interlock from the cabin. In the more expensive versions, an electric drive of all windows and mirrors is added, and the front panel is trimmed under a tree. In the most expensive, this set of options is complemented by a passenger airbag and heated mirrors.
In all versions, the driver's seat is equipped with adjustments for four positions, which allows you to take a natural position. Controls and instruments are logical and convenient.
The useful volume of the luggage compartment is 425/765 liters.
In 1998, the car has undergone a restyling: the design of the front and rear parts of the body, lighting fixtures have changed. Appeared wagon Parktown, which can be both in the five-and seven-seater performance.

The back of the rear seat folds in a 40:60 ratio, turning 425 liters of the trunk into 765, and in the wagon the seat cushions also fold in the same ratio, resulting in an almost level floor. The volume of the luggage compartment increases from 470 liters to 1600.
Among the many other middle-class cars, the Clarus distinguishes features such as comfort, world-class design, excellent cabin ergonomics, ease of operation, smooth and silent running, and extreme ease of maintenance.
In 2001, Clarus was replaced by a new model - Magentis.
