Daewoo Lanos debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 1997. The three- or five-door hatchback and Lanos sedan (actually the first independent development of Daewoo) was designed in collaboration with a number of reputable German and English engineering companies from the Daewoo research and development center in Woking. The car body was designed by the famous Italian bodybuilding studio Ital Design.
