2010 Bentley Azure T Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
For the first time, the Bentley Azure cabriolet was introduced in 1995 in Geneva and immediately won the title Cabriolet of the Year there. In 1999, another version of Bentley Azure called Mulliner was introduced. She possessed only some external differences.
Under the hood of a Bentley Azure was a Garrett Turbochargers V8 turbocharged power unit with a volume of 6.75 liters, whose power was 400 hp, and the maximum torque was 874 Nm. The car possessed a rear wheel drive. As for the transmission, there was installed a 4-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to this technical equipment, the 2-door convertible could accelerate to a speed of 100 km / h in just 6.3 seconds, which is quite brisk for a car weighing 2450. The maximum speed of the car is 250 km / h
The release of the standard version of Bentley Azure was discontinued in 2002. And in 2003, the Bentley Azure Mulliner model also ended its existence.
But in 2006, Bentley decided to revive the production of the Bentley Azure cabriolet. The new convertible was built on the basis of the concept car Bentley Arnage Drophead Coupe, presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January 2006. At the heart of the new cabriolet is the chassis, borrowed from the massive sedan, so the overall length of the car reaches a rather impressive 5.41 meters. The roof of the Bentley Azure - soft, folding. Thanks to the electric motor system, it can rise and fall in just 30 seconds.
The lack of a hardtop led Bentley engineers to take care of the reinforcement of the car body. For this, it was decided to use special carbon fiber beams, which were placed under the floor of the car. The use of durable and lightweight materials made it possible to achieve the necessary body rigidity with a slight increase in vehicle weight.
Under the hood is a 450-hp V8 engine with two turbochargers. Its maximum torque is 874 Nm. The maximum speed of the new Bentley Azure is 270 km / h.
The interior of the convertible combines luxurious style and comfort, complemented by a stream of positive emotions, thanks to the folding roof. The car has a fairly wide list of options installed as standard, namely: driver and passenger airbags, as well as side airbags; belt tensioners; electric windows; electric mirrors; climate control; on-board computer; parking sensors; headlight adjustment; Cruise control; navigation system; heated seats; electric driver and passenger seats; CD player and CD changer; xenon headlights.
