Audi Coupe - The reference style of the 80s.
Audi Coupe debuted in 1988. A 4-cylinder turbocharged engine of 115 hp was installed on the car. For the Quattro modification, a 5-cylinder, 230-hp turbocharged engine was proposed.
These sports versions of the Audi 80 appeared on the streets in January 1993 - they were the Audi S2 Coupe with a stiff sport suspension, a 230-horsepower 2.2-liter inline 5-cylinder engine, six instead of a five-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive, KKK turbocharger and forced air cooling, DOHC-20V and Evo-Tech-control system. The forced engine perfectly realizes its cyclopean 380 Nm of torque in a wide range (2100-4000 1 / min).
The external differences of this version were reduced to bumpers with large air intakes, Porsche-type brakes (with bright red calipers) and "S2" nameplates. The interior has changed a lot: the motley fabric trim with carbon-fiber applications in the interior, a different instrument panel, a sport steering-wheel, etc. From this period, all models (series B4) begin to complete with hatches in the roof (as standard).
Produced equipping "more modern" lighting. Classic Azev-A alloy wheels JE-DESIGN 8.5 and 10J x 17 "dimensions" shod "in 215 / 45-17 and 235 / 40-17 tires Bridgestone-Potenza-Pneus. DE-headlights and white turn indicators were introduced only from the 94th model year. In the paint rooms, the lower parts of the bumpers and side covers were polished, machined and painted in body colors. Initially, the chrome grille was polished until it acquired a monte black paint from Porsche, which was also used in the design of plastic parts in the engine compartment. The drawing from Uwe Czech on the fuel tank flap and the interior lighting from the Audi A6 complete the list of changes.
Audi Coupe ceased to appear in the world in 1995, as the management considered it unprofitable.
