Ural-4320-01 and Ural-43202-01 are modernized cars, respectively, Ural-4320 and Ural-43202, which were produced from 1977 to 1988.

Body Ural-43202-01 - wooden platform with folding side and rear sides, equipped with removable two side and one front-side added boards, installation of arcs and awning is provided. The cabin is three-seater, with thermal and noise insulation, located behind the engine, the seat is adjustable in length, height and inclination of the backrest. In 2001, as a result of the restructuring of the UralAZ production complex, the Ural automobile plant was formed, which is a successor of its history and traditions. In 2001-2002, on the basis of the design of the URAL serial cabin, a number of works were carried out to increase comfort with a larger cabin. The so-called "one and a half" cabin has become longer than the standard by 600 mm, the folding passenger seats are shifted back relative to the driver's seat, allowing the driver to equip a place for rest and personal belongings. This greatly facilitates the work of drivers on long trips. Six-place 4-door cabins are also produced, which, with an independent heater on a traditional chassis, create comfortable conditions for the transportation of personnel. Installation on serial cabins (both short and long) of a high roof made of polymeric materials with molded upholstery allows improving the heat and noise insulation properties of the cab. In 2003, production of the Iveco-UralAZ cab manufactured with a berth with installed sprung seats, a plastic instrument panel and an independent heater began.

In 2002, Ural Automobile Plant OJSC began mass production of URAL-4320-40, URAL-4320-41 vehicles and their modifications of the 6x6 wheel formula with the YMZ-236NE 2 engine that meet the requirements of the UNECE Regulations, in particular, UNECE No. 49 -02V (Euro-2) on emissions of harmful substances by exhaust gases.At the same time, the mounting and connecting dimensions of the chassis, all the basic parameters inherent in cars of the URAL family, were preserved, and the fuel efficiency improved on average by 8%.

In addition, modifications are made to cars with anti-lock brakes (ABS). First of all, they are equipped with chassis for tankers and fuel carriers (in accordance with the requirements of GOST R 50913-96), as well as crew buses. The rest of the vehicles manufactured by JSC AZ "Ural", intended mainly for off-road use with hard surface, may not be equipped with ABS in accordance with the requirements of consumers. In order to increase the car’s passability on particularly difficult sections of roads and off-road, the production of bridges with inter-wheel differential lock has been mastered.
