The Czech car company Skoda, following Roomster, introduced the new Praktik mini van for commercial traffic. In the Russian market, the model appeared in June 2007. It is a station wagon with a spacious interior, ergonomic solutions for the driver’s area, high build quality and excellent handling. Positioned as a competitor to the Toyota Yaris Verso.

Praktik is based on the Roomster model and retained exactly the same design of the front end of the body, but is distinguished by the presence of a large cargo compartment. Access to the trunk is open on three sides, thanks to the wide and high side doors and a spacious reclining tailgate, which will be especially interesting for delivery services when loading / unloading in a limited space. The volume of the cargo compartment is 1900 liters, length - 1605 mm, width - 1434 mm (between the supports 1016 mm), height - 990 mm. Load capacity - up to 550 kg, and when using wheels with a diameter of "15" - up to 640 kg.

The luggage compartment floor is made of water-repellent material with anti-slip surface and has a three-section design with a limiter. Rear side windows replaced with metal inserts, painted in body color. The glass of the fifth door can be strengthened with a protective grid, which is an additional option.

The driver's cabin is separated from the cargo compartment by a black transverse partition, which can move in the longitudinal direction with an amplitude of 100 mm. For a better view, the upper part of the partition is a metal grid. With the help of a rear-view mirror, the condition of the cargo in the luggage compartment is under the constant control of the driver. Inside, there are a lot of places for storing shallow luggage, located on the doors and near the passenger seats. For example, a retainer for vehicle inspection, a convenient bottle holder in the door and a cup holder on the console between the seats. In the interior decoration used high-strength material Fresh Onyx.

Praktik is equipped with two petrol engines of 1.2 (64 hp) and 1.4 liters (86 hp), as well as a 1.4-liter diesel engine (69 hp).

The manufacturer offers to choose from five body colors and two dashboard colors. In the basic configuration, Praktik is equipped with ABS, driver's airbag, electric power steering, heated cabin with mechanical adjustment, and three-point seat belts for all passengers and the driver.
