Kia Besta was equipped with a simple but sturdy salon, which fully satisfied all the requirements for the cabin of a delivery truck-workaholic. The ergonomics of the driver's workplace was performed at a decent level. Passenger versions offered more comfort. The line of power units consisted of two diesel engines. The first had an R2 index - an atmospheric four-cylinder volume of 2.2 liters, it gave out about 80 hp. and had a fairly low torque (only 145 Nm at 2400 rpm). The second engine under the VN index had a volume of 2.7 liters and a power of about 90 hp. The choice offered two gearboxes: 5-speed manual and 4-speed (3-speed + OVERDRIVE) automatic.
Rear suspension - spring with one-piece axle. Front suspension independent, double wishbone. Front Kia Besta received anti-roll bar, rear stabilizer installed optional. Steering - rack type. There was a Kia Besta variant with all-wheel drive PART TIME.
In 1992, the car was restyled - the headlights, lanterns, mirrors and some body parts were shredded. The release of the car continued until 1996, when it was replaced by the Kia Pregio.
