Sedan and wagon Seat Exeo appeared in 2008 and 2009, respectively. The car is a representative of the "D" class, built on the platform of the previous generation Audi A4 (B7). Produced at the plant in Martorell (near Barcelona, Spain) on the equipment on which the Audi A4 used to be assembled.
In fact, Exeo is a redesigned A4 version of the B7 generation. The Spanish designer Luc Donkervolke worked on the exterior. As for the external differences from the Audi A4, they lie in a slightly altered front and rear. Was redesigned headlights, hood, bumpers and grille. Mirrors are now installed directly on the door panels. The manufacturer offers 14 options for painting the car and supplies Exeo in three trim levels: Reference, Style and Sport.
The interior is also largely borrowed from the German counterpart. Salon has excellent ergonomics and impeccable style. Perfectly selected materials, spectacular dashboard design, harmony of lines and smoothly flowing surfaces, a wide choice of color and interior options create a pleasant atmosphere in the Seat Exeo.
Regarding the equipment of the car, Seat Exeo offers a navigation system, a multifunctional multimedia system with the ability to connect MP3, MPEG4, IPOD, USB and Bluetooth. Passenger safety is provided by ABS, ESP systems and seven airbags, one of which protects the driver’s feet.
The line of power plants includes six engines: three diesel engines and three gasoline engines. Five of the six engines presented are turbo engines. This means: better driving performance, but less fuel consumption and lower emissions. All 6 Exeo engines comply with the Euro 5 standard. The power of gasoline engines varies from 102 hp up to 200 hp, and diesel from 120 hp up to 170 hp Motors work in conjunction with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The buyer can also choose between comfortable or sports suspension. Four-lever front suspension and trapezoidal lever rear suspension provide sporty driving dynamics and precise controllability of the car.
In 2011, Seat introduced the updated Exeo car family. The novelty has received a modernized design of the exterior and interior, as well as more economical diesel engines. On the restyled sedans and generalists Seat Exeo installed new headlights with LED sections, a modified grille, LED taillights, as well as 17 - and 18-inch rims of the new design. An upgraded steering wheel will appear in the passenger compartment, and other upholstery materials will now be used to design the interior.
The range of engines for the updated Seat Exeo remained the same, but the engineers managed to slightly reduce their carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, as well as reduce fuel consumption.
