Nissan x-trail

The latest developments in the field of safety and control of the car in combination with the half-century experience of Nissan were embodied in the 2000 model X - Trail.

Nissan X-Trail (2018) - When there is little money, and all-wheel drive is needed

This car is ideal for people often moving around the city, but at the same time preferring to spend their free time in nature, doing active sports.

Nissan X-Trail 2001

The elegance of appearance is combined with a spacious interior and a modern interior. The strict lines of the Nissan X-Trail profile create a powerful and at the same time refined and dynamic look that combines the elements of a stylish car and the strength of a true SUV. The front and rear bumpers are seamlessly integrated with the wheel arch extensions, emphasizing the modern style of the Nissan X-Trail. The traditional Nissan grille is complemented by stylish headlights made using transparent lens technology. It is worth noting the extraordinary practicality of the car: a roomy luggage compartment has easy-washable upholstery, four snowboards can easily fit in the ski compartment, and drink holders on the front panel help keep them cool or warm using an air-conditioning system.

Glass Nissan X-Trail delays ultraviolet and infrared rays, significantly reducing the heating of the cabin, which makes the interior cool and most comfortable, allowing you to reduce the load on the air conditioning system of the cabin. The X-Trail also has the largest hatch in its class.

At the buyer's choice, there are 4 options for upholstery: the Comfort, Luxury, and Elegance equipment for drivers who prefer the classic style, and the Sport equipment for those who prefer a more dynamic look.

The X-Trail is the first Nissan production car in which the designers placed the instrument panel not in front of the driver, but in the middle between the driver and the front passenger. Such an arrangement of devices allows the driver not only to choose any landing behind the wheel, without fear that the devices will be closed by the steering wheel, but also to keep the main devices in sight, without being distracted from the road. At the "traditional" location of the dashboard is located an additional "glove box" that allows you to put a card or mobile phone.

Nissan X-Trail 2002

The car is equipped with an ALL MODE 4 × 4 system. This system is designed for safe and quiet driving in virtually any environment, thanks to an all-wheel drive electronic system that ensures optimum torque distribution between the axles. ALL MODE 4 × 4 provides instant response in all circumstances. Under normal conditions, the system functions as a front-wheel drive, thereby saving fuel. By pressing the buttons on the front panel, you can select 2WD (front-wheel drive), AUTO (automatic connection of the rear axle) or LOCK (interlock axle lock), depending on driving conditions.

The ALL MODE 4x4 system provides increased safety when driving on snow, ice, slopes or other difficult road conditions that you may encounter when traveling to the ski slopes or walking in the countryside.

The model range of Nissan X-Trail engines includes: a new gasoline QR25 with a volume of 2.5 liters / 165 hp; advanced QR20 gasoline engine of 2.0 l / 140 hp; 2.2 liter YD22 turbo diesel engine, combining Common Rail system with M-Fire technology and intermediate cooling.

The Common Rail system in conjunction with M-Fire offers advantages such as burning fuel without soot formation, less toxicity, less fuel consumption, and reduced noise levels.

With the QR25 engine, the Nissan X-Trail holds the leading position in its segment in terms of characteristics such as overclocking and maximum speed. Acceleration of the car to 100 km / h in 9.9 seconds and a maximum speed of over 190 km / h.

Nissan X-Trail 2003

The QR25 in combination with the ALL MODE 4x4 system guarantees the Nissan X-Trail with top-notch road performance, economy and improved off-road capabilities.

Gasoline engines are equipped with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions. Turbodiesel comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission.

For the safety of the driver and passengers are responsible: the system ESP + (stability control), Nissan Brake Assist (mechanical brake booster), ABS (anti-lock braking system), Traction Control System (traction control), Active Brake Limited Slip Differential (limited slip differential) , EBD (electronic brake force distribution system) and ALL MODE 4x4 (electronic all-wheel drive system).

Standard equipment includes airbags for the driver and front passenger. It is possible to install additional side airbags to protect the head and chest of the driver and passenger. Seat belts for the driver and front passenger with pretensioners and preload limiters are also included as standard. The car and all its units were designed to be as light as possible, helping to improve the dynamics, reduce fuel consumption and improve environmental friendliness.

In 2007, updating the exterior and interior design, as well as improving the technical equipment, Nissan presented the second generation X-Trail to the public at the Geneva Motor Show. The first thing the car appeared in Europe, and then spread throughout the world. By the end of 2007, it could be found in Australia, then in the USA and Canada, where the usual name for us X-Trail was replaced with the French Rogue.

Nissan X-Trail

The car has obviously grown up, it has become more massive and solid. Overall dimensions - length / width / height: 4770/1880/1685 mm, wheelbase is 2825 mm. The second-generation X-Trail was built on the Nissan C platform, on the basis of which the Nissan Qashqai crossover was released a year earlier (2006).

In the design of the exterior there are no global changes. In the newcomer, compared to its predecessor, the headlights have slightly changed, a little bit - the rear lights, but most importantly, the square style of the main body elements remained intact. Nissan says that the reason for the obvious similarity between the two generations is the conservatism of the owners of the first X-Trail (the most obvious potential buyers of the second). As a result, external changes can be considered a restyling, since fundamentally new solutions cannot be found here.

Inside, the changes are more noticeable. First of all, the instrument panel returned to its usual place, that is, it moved from the center of the dashboard to the steering wheel. It is clear that this change radically affected the overall style of the decor. Finishing materials are much better. The front seats have a sufficient amount of electric adjustment, good lateral support and thoughtful geometry of the profile of the seats, so that the driver and passenger of any complexion feel comfortable. The back sofa folds in the proportion of 40/20/40, allowing you to transport long-length and leaving room for passengers. Almost vertical side pillars and high ceiling provide a reserve of space both in width and overhead. An additional sensation of volume in the cabin gives the increased hatch almost the entire length of the roof.

In the trunk - a two-level floor with a drawer for small things, and its cover is made of special non-slip and easily washable material. The size of the luggage compartment increased, adding 127 mm long and 174 wide, and the volume reached 603 liters. Folding the rear seats, the useful space can be brought to an impressive 1773 liters.

For Russia, there are two petrol engines: 2.0 l / 141 hp and 2.5 l / 169 hp Transmission to choose from: 6-speed manual or CVT. For the European market, 2.0 DCI diesel with a Common Rail injection system is offered in two versions: 150 hp. mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or automatic transmission, 173 hp only with the "mechanics".

All X-Trail imported to Europe is offered in an all-wheel drive version, with the All Mode 4 * 4 system, which reads data from ESP sensors, steering angle and accelerator pedal position. In normal mode, the X-Trail is front-wheel drive, the rear axle is connected by an electromagnetic clutch, dividing the torque between the axles in half, at the command of the processor.

McPherson suspension in front and multi-link rear. Power steering rack with power; front brakes - ventilated disc, rear - disc. Ground clearance is 195 mm.

The second-generation X-Trail acquired electronic systems for off-road assistance. Among them, Uphill Start Support (USS) - help when starting to climb and Downhill Drive Support (DDS) - help during the descent. USS on the rise of more than 10 degrees keeps the car from rolling back to the very beginning of the upward movement. And DDS automatically maintains a speed of 7 km / h while descending, preventing the wheels from locking.

In November 2009, the Russian division of the automaker Nissan began accepting orders for the X-Trail crossover, assembled in St. Petersburg.

Nissan X-Trail 2010

In 2010, X-Trail has undergone a restyling. Designers have tried to make the appearance of the car more modern and dynamic. The main difference - the headlights: kruglyashi moved to the lower edge. Slightly changed the grille, a new front bumper. Behind limited to replacing the brake lights - now they are very bright, since they use LEDs. Another important detail - the 18-inch new wheels.

Of the changes invisible to the eye - the modified aerodynamics of the bottom, so that the Cd is reduced from 0.36 to 0.35.

The interior of the X-Trail is refined with new materials. Recycled dashboard - now easier to read the indicators, and the trip computer began to issue more information. In addition, the glove box is equipped with a thermos / refrigerator function already in the basic version. By changing the shape of the backs of the front seats, the passengers of the second row were given extra 10 mm around the knees.

Technically, the car has not changed much, with the exception of minor modifications to the gearbox and diesel, which is reduced to Euro 5 standards.

The presentation of the third generation Nissan X-Trail was held in September 2013 at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. This is a completely new vehicle, developed from scratch and the fruit of the collaboration of Japanese engineers from Nissan and the French from Renault. A brand new crossover body, well-thought-out interior and outstanding fuel consumption in its modesty will allow the X-Trail 2014 to challenge such segment grandees as the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

The wheelbase of the X-Trail grew by 76 mm (2,710 mm), but the overall length of the body increased only by 17 mm (4,630 mm) due to shorter overhangs, the width increased by 23 mm (1,840 mm). Ground clearance was maintained at 210 mm, despite the reduced height of the body by 65 mm (1680 mm).

Nissan X-Trail

First of all, the manufacturer was surprised by a radical change of image. The famous X-Trail lost its former brutality and began to look like a standard crossover. The front end has stylish, narrowed headlights that are complemented by original LED corners for daytime running lights. It is noteworthy that even in the base version for high and low beams only LED headlights are installed. Chrome insert in the form of a letter V adorns the compact grille and conventionally divides it into three sections. In the center of the grid is traditionally emblazoned with the Nissan logo. An impressive size bumper pleases smooth aerodynamic outlines. There was a place on the bumper and for a large air intake, as well as protivotumanok, framed chrome rim. The bottom edge is covered with a wide apron made of high-quality plastic. This is done to protect the front fairing from any physical damage. The large surface of the hood is framed by longitudinal ribs, which visually give the front of a more aggressive, charismatic appearance. X-Trail 2014 has side parts of the body with large circular radii of the wheel arches, which are designed for the installation of rubber type 225/55 R19. Nineteen inch wheels are cast from light alloys. The rear and front wings look incredibly impressive due to the unusual profile of arches with large stamps. Large doors got high glazing.

The feed is made in the classic style for crossovers: the back door (as it should be the status, received in all trim levels electric drive), occupies almost the entire space, it is crowned with a small spoiler. To emphasize the presentability of the model designed the original shape of the tail lights (also LED), and neatly executed rear bumper.

The interior of the third generation has changed almost beyond recognition. The main innovation was the ability to choose between five or seven local equipment, the predecessor did not provide such an opportunity. Materials for decorating the interior are natural (or high-quality synthetic leather - as standard), carpet, excellent quality plastic, as well as a wide variety of decorative inserts that mimic carbon and metal. The steering wheel is multifunctional. Tiered dashboard and beautiful dashboard, equipped with a five-inch color graphics screen, adorn the area in front of the windshield. The screen displays more than 12 different images that display information about the state of the car.

The center console has also changed. It houses a seven-inch multimedia touch screen. It is used to adjust all the options. This includes a climate control system, navigation, a 360-degree camera, a rear-view camera, and an Aux-in USB Bluetooh audio system. The center console received holders of glasses and containers for bottles.

The front seats of the crossover, made by the "zero gravity" technology and inspired by NASA technology provide passengers with maximum comfort. They are heated and electric. At the disposal of the rear passengers a spacious sofa (according to the 40/20/40 scheme) and a maximum of free space. By the way, the rear doors open at an angle of 77 degrees, making the landing and leaving the car extremely comfortable.

An additional two seats, so that the crossover could accommodate seven people, are available for a fee, which is called the "Family Package." It also includes tubeless tires that require less trunk space for a spare tire. In recognition of the Japanese themselves, the third row of seats is intended only for the rare transportation of children. If the third row of seats is used, then the amount of luggage is reduced to 0.27 cubic meters. The addition of both rear rows of seats increases the trunk up to 2 cubic meters. Owners of crossover models with two rows of seats will be able to enjoy the benefits of the Divide-N-Hide storage system (divide and hide), which has 18 configurations and allows you to transport dirty boots and clean clothes separately and safely. If you consider the level under the boot floor, the storage system is three-legged.

The technical characteristics of the Nissan X-Trail 2014 for different countries are almost identical, due to the fact that the crossover is positioned as a global model based on the Common Module Family (CMF), owned by Renault-Nissan. Thanks to this unification, all models of cars will receive ALL MODE 4x4i - an improved system of all-wheel drive. In addition to technical innovations, this system has received a purely ergonomic: now the control knob is located between the front seats, on the tunnel. This system has three modes of operation: 2WD, Lock, Auto, however, for an additional fee, a front-wheel drive version is provided. Regardless of the type of drive, the X-Trail features MacPherson strut struts and a multi-link rear suspension.

Two engines are available for petrol engines - 2.0 liter (141 hp) and 2.5 liter (169 hp). Diesel line offers several new DCI power units, the first of which has a volume of 1.6 liters (150 hp), the second - 2.0 liters (180 hp). All engines are aggregated with 6-speed manual transmission, automatic transmission, or Xtronic CVT. Fuel consumption, declared by the manufacturer, is quite acceptable 7-9.6 liters, depending on the engine and the selected transmission.

The car received such modern electronic systems as: engine braking system Active Engine Brake; system of ensuring the increased smoothness of movement, Active Ride Control; active steering system Active Trace Control; as well as Advance Hill Descent Control and Uphill Start Support. All of the above systems, along with many others, allow us to attribute the X-Trail 2014 to one of the most high-tech representatives of its class.
