The appearance of the serial model was preceded by the concept car Vignale, presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2005. The car went on sale in 2006. And only the front stabilizer added only 8% to rigidity.

The interior in many ways resembles the usual Focus, only the selection of materials is different: there is more metallized plastic, and leather inserts in the doors appeared. Luxurious armchairs of excellent shape and profile are set 20 mm lower than in the usual Focus. Behind closely, as in all the coupe-cabriolet golf class: knees rest against the backs of the front seats. Comfortable seats distribute the load well and securely hold in turns. The car has four full seats and the best in its segment trunk volume of 534 liters (with a folded roof - 248 liters). There is a door lock, so slam the lid is optional. The line of power units offered two options: gasoline 1.6 liters (100 hp) and 2.0 liters (145 hp). The engine is started by a special button. It is possible to install both a five-speed manual gearbox and an automatic transmission.

In 2008, as part of the promotion of "kinetic design" and updating the Focus car line, the updated Coupe-Cabriolet was introduced. Developing the idea of ​​bright appearance, embodied in the previous version, the new model looks even more expressive and dynamic. Changed the front of the car. A stylish upper grille and an enlarged lower grille in the form of an inverted trapezoid framed by distinctive fog lamps, as well as swept headlights give the front end of the car a sporty look. The new form of the hood emphasizes the swiftness of the Coupe-Cabriolet 2008. The rear end of the body is visually expanded, making the car look more solid. New LED taillights and bumper new designs complement this impression. 

The interior has also changed. The car's interior is made using all the advanced technologies that can be found in other cars of the new Focus line. Smooth lines of the center console organically complement the "kinetic" appearance of the car. Thanks to the design of the modernized dashboard and the new organization of the backlight, all the devices have become clearer and have a more ergonomic layout. Hypoallergenic fabrics, air filters, delaying allergens, and plastic that do not emit toxic substances leave no doubt that the Focus Coupe-Cabriolet has received the approval of the British Allergy Foundation and the TUV certificate.

There were no special updates in the engine range - the former petrol 1.6-liter engine with a power of one hundred horsepower and a two-liter Duratec with a 145-horsepower "herd" remained here. Only a two-liter diesel power unit of 136 hp was added.

The car is offered in two versions: Trend and Titanium. Modification Trend, which is equipped as standard with sports heated seats, protection technology when overturning and chrome-plated elements, combines practicality and style. The Titanium modification is even more elegant: beautiful leather seats, dual-zone air conditioning with automatic climate control (DEATC) and cruise control.

The security system received five stars on Euro NCAP tests in the category "safety of adult passengers". The car received this rating due to an impressive array of advanced technologies, including Intelligent Security System (IPS). Electronic Stabilization System (ESP) continuously monitors the trajectory of the vehicle, and the Emergency Brake Assist System (EBA) can significantly shorten the braking distance by increasing the braking force. Anti-blocking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD) can confidently cope with the most difficult situations on the road. All Focus models are equipped with full-size airbags for the driver and front passenger, as well as unique three-dimensional side airbags (optional or standard, depending on the series). They are instantly filled with air, and their design allows to absorb the maximum impact energy even during the most severe collisions. The safety system is complemented by curtain-type side airbags (optional) that protect passengers through the side windows of the car. The steering column and pedal assembly are designed so as not to injure the driver in the event of a collision. In addition, the rear seat of the new Focus is equipped with an ISOFIX anchorage system for installing child seats, designed to protect young passengers.
