Citroen Evasion, the joint brainchild of PSA and FIAT, made its debut in March 1994 at the Geneva Motor Show. Evasion - a roomy five-door minivan capable of providing comfortable movement of five or eight passengers, depending on the configuration.

The Evasion design is very conservative, but comfortable rear sliding doors, numerous cabin options and good driving characteristics are worthy compensation for modest external data.

The salon is easily transformed and has many options. The seats are removed and can be rotated 180 degrees.

The luggage compartment is large and very roomy, which is important for a family car.

Since 1995, a diesel engine with a turbocharger has been installed on the car, since 1998 - an engine capacity of 1.8 liters, since 2000 - a two-liter diesel engine HDi with a capacity of 109 hp. For a hundred kilometers consumed about 10 liters of gasoline.

For safety reasons, the car is equipped with anti-roll bars on the front and rear suspension. It has front seat belts with pyronatyazhiteli and inflatable airbags for the driver and passengers.

In 1997, the car was subjected to slight restyling. After that, the third brake light, mounted on the rear hinged door of all Evasion modifications, began to enter the standard equipment.

Standard equipment also includes: an electronic tachometer, a run counter to maintenance, an ambient temperature indicator, an onboard multifunctional computer, an open door sensor, an audible alarm about headlights on, etc. Plus a common sensor describing the condition of water, oil, brakes and battery.

Optional equipment installed on the Citroen Evasion includes: alloy wheels, rear electric windows, metallic lacquered, cassette audio system, an opening glass hatch, extra rear seats and leather upholstery.

For reference, in some markets, Citroen Evasion is sold under the name Synergie.

In 2002, the replacement of this model came Citroen C8.
