Alfa romeo 90

The Alfa Romeo 90 was produced by the Italian automaker in the period from 1984 to 1987.

The design of the sedan was carried out by the company Bertone. For the first time the car was presented at the Turin Auto Show in 1984. The predecessors of the novelty were Alfa Romeo Alfetta and Alfa Romeo Alfa 6, the release of which was stopped shortly after the release of the Alfa Romeo 90. The appearance also has common features with these models, but it has not lost its own individuality. The car used the same chassis as the model Alfetta, and the engines were borrowed from Alfa 6. The wheelbase of the car is 2510 mm, the length of the car is 4390 mm, width - 1640 mm, height - 1420 mm.

Alfa Romeo 90 was pretty well equipped. Power front windows and power seats were already standard. In the top-configuration Cloverleaf (Quadrifglio Oro) installed rear power windows, power steering, central locking, digital instrument panel and used metallic colors. Under the hood of the QO-version was the most powerful of the proposed options for a 2.5-liter engine.

For the 90th model, 5 variants of gasoline power units and 1 turbodiesel were provided. The composition of gasoline engines include: three 4-cylinder engines, of which two carburetor engines with a volume of 1.8 liters (118.4 hp) and 2.0 liters (126.2 hp) and one injection with a volume of 2.0 liters (126.2 hp) ; two petrol injector V6 engines with volumes of 2.0 liters (118.4 hp) and 2.5 liters (153.9 hp). The 2.4-liter turbo diesel has a capacity of 108.5m hp. It was developed by VM Motori, a diesel engine company. Drive at the Alfa Romeo 90 rear. Installed on the car 5-speed manual gearbox.

In 1986, many minor changes were made to the Alfa Romeo 90. The most noticeable external change is the new grille, in which the horizontal partitions are smaller.
